Does the PTQ-DNET come with everything I need to configure and commission it on a DeviceNet network; or do I need additional hardware/software to be able to set it up?

In order to setup, configure and commission a ProTalkQ Device Net Scanner solution, the PTQ-DNET, you will need to have additional hardware and software that is not included with the module; but which can be purchased separately from ProSoft through your Schneider distributor or from an Allen-Bradley distributor.

The PTQ-DNET is configured via the DeviceNet network.  To do so requires an Allen-Bradley DeviceNet Scanner module or a 1784-PCD DeviceNet communications adapter for PCs with PCMCIA slot.  You will also need to have a copy of Rockwell Software's RSNetworx for DeviceNet program.  And, DeviceNet networks  require a separate 24vdc power supply to power all DeviceNet devices on the network.

Once you have the proper hardware and software, you will be able to setup, configure, and commission  your PTQ-DNET.
