The FHS radios will support the N2 protocol.
You must, however, be aware of the following:
200ms timeout- if using protocol mode (including gap timer on) without low latency mode set, the message isn't transmitted until the entire message comes into the radio. 256 bytes at 9600 baud takes 267ms one way. So this won't work. Use transparent mode without the gap timer. Each repeat adds 12.5ms to the latency, so you can't use more than 5 repeats or so.
