Une raffinerie trouve le moyen de connecter un système DCS avec un ControlLogix®

Une raffinerie de pétrole coréenne rencontrait un problème lié à un protocole : ils devaient connecter un système DCS Honeywell redondant avec un automate ControlLogix de Rockwell Automation®.

Ils recherchaient une connexion robuste et fiable entre les deux systèmes. Un représentant de Rockwell Automation a alors suggéré d’utiliser les modules en châssis Modbus® de ProSoft Technology.

Les modules ProSoft ont été mis en place afin de créer un système de communication redondant, et ceux-ci interrogent alternativement le DCS selon le standard de communication de la raffinerie.
