Optimiser le réseau d’un gisement de pétrole pour un meilleur rendement

En Iraq, un gisement de pétrole rencontrait des problèmes de communication: ses équipements Rockwell Automation® utilisent le protocole de communication EtherNet/IP™, alors que ses automates Schneider Electric® utilisent Modbus® TCP/IP.

Il était donc nécessaire d’établir une interconnexion entre les deux protocoles afin d’assurer la communication entre les équipements sur le site. Les responsables du site ont choisi d’utiliser trente six passerelles ProSoft Technology pour établir le lien entre les deux protocoles.

Aujourd’hui, les passerelles assurent la connexion entre les stations et les salles de contrôle. Autre avantage constaté par l’utilisateur: une meilleure efficacité des opérations.
