Une passerelle cellulaire pour informer les automobilistes

Vous vous êtes déjà demandé comment sont diffusés les messages des panneaux d’affichage sur les autoroutes ? Comme souvent dans les processus de communication, il se passe beaucoup de choses en coulisses.

Dans un pays européen, une des agences en charge des panneaux d’affichage sur les autoroutes a trouvé une nouvelle façon de changer les messages. Son client a dû remplacer son ancien système composé d’un automate et d’un modem GSM 2G. Ils ont décidé de passer à un automate Micro850 de Rockwell Automation®. Rockwell Automation a suggéré l’utilisation d’une passerelle cellulaire industrielle ProSoft Technology, qui a été mise en place par le support technique de ProSoft pendant une période de test concluante.

Dans ce nouveau système, l’automate Micro850 reçoit des SMS depuis l’automate principal situé à distance grâce à la passerelle cellulaire industrielle. Le Micro850 modifie ensuite l’affichage avec un I/O digital. Les conducteurs ont donc accès aux informations en temps réel !
