De meilleures communications pour un système de convoyage en Italie

Une entreprise italienne dans le domaine de la logistique a mis à jour son installation, et a intégré EtherNet/IP™ à sa bande de convoyage de 40 mètres de long. L’application comprend deux convoyeurs et deux systèmes de palettisation (« pick and place »). Des communications fiables et sécurisées sont essentielles.

Auparavant, des collecteurs tournants et des communications en série étaient utilisés, mais l’entreprise recherchait une meilleure alternative. La combinaison de cinq radios industrielles ProSoft Technology avec du câble rayonnant a été choisie.

Les radios gèrent désormais les communications entre le convoyeur et l’automate CompactLogix™ de Rockwell Automation®. La production n’a pas été interrompue lors de la mise en place du câble rayonnant, et grâce aux radios l’automate reçoit les données de diagnostics.
