La synergie entre les technologies de l’information (IT) et d’exploitation (OT) et l’internet des objets a ouvert de nouvelles opportunités pour les entreprises en termes d’innovation, de productivité et d’optimisation des ressources. D’après Prith Banerjee, il existe quatre domaines à privilégier: l’efficience et la durabilité énergétique, la disponibilité des actifs, la rentabilité des opérations, les données mobiles et la réduction des risques.

Prith Banerjee était “Executive Vice President”, “Chief Technology Officer” et membre du Comité chez Schneider Electric®, il reportait directement au CEO et au Président du conseil d’administration. Il était responsable du pôle innovation et différenciation technologique, et coordonnait les activités R&D de l’entreprise (11,000 salariés dans ce service et 1.2 milliards d’euros d’investissement en R&D).
